Maheshwari will work closely with Pragmatic Play's founders and management team.
Pragmatic Play, a leading provider of content for the gaming industry, has appointed former Rank Digital's head of gaming products, Bhotesh Maheshwari, as its new vice president of business strategy and operations as the company looks to consolidate its position as a top tier provider in regulated markets.
His main responsibilities will include overseeing business operations and establishing closer product partnerships with major European carriers, as well as expanding Pragmatic Play's presence in new regulated territories around the world.
The 39 years old will also head up Pragmatic Play's Gibraltar office, serving operators in the UK, Germany, Spain and Portugal, with a team of three executives working to achieve the supplier's goals in the region.
Maheshwari has a long history in the gaming industry, working for both leading operators and suppliers during his 15 years career. Since starting as retail sales manager for William Hill in 2006, he has worked closely with the product teams to deliver bespoke gaming propositions for local player bases in the UK, Europe, Latin America and Asia.
After eight years working in various sales and product roles in the land-based gaming sector for William Hill and Inspired Gaming, he joined Betfair to take on a role in the online gaming sector, supporting their arcade product and creating an in-house proposition. He eventually joined the Rank Group in Gibraltar in 2016, leading casino revenues and product development for the Grosvenorcasinos.com and Meccabingo.com online brands.
