Every story has a beginning...

They say there is a fine line between genius and madness, and no one has crossed it more often than Dr Richard Toonz.

A highly respected member of the scientific community, Dr Toonz led the way in the field of alternative energy.

He worked tirelessly to find what he called "the ultimate energy source", a constant form of energy that could build, grow and transform itself almost like a living being.

As he became more and more passionate about his goal, people began to say he was obsessed. He would spend weeks in his laboratory, mumbling fervently to himself and spending hours scribbling formulas and ideas on any free surface he could find.

But as he got closer to his goal, people could no longer accept the danger that accompanied his innovation, and he was driven out of every lab he set foot in, forcing him to find a new path...

Forced to flee to continue his efforts, the good doctor escaped to the depths of the sea, where he set up his own state-of-the-art laboratory to continue his work.

And that's when it happened. Toonz discovered that this new form of energy was not like a living thing, it was a living thing! Many different things, and each one provides its own unique energy signature.
