The results of the Parisian gaming room exceed all expectations for its first year.
Gaming1, a leading sports betting and gaming partner, has hailed the success of its Circus Club Paris arcade as part of its drive to develop the Circus brand in France.
The Club was only able to open its doors in September 2019 thanks to the French government's decision in January 2018 to allow some gaming clubs in the capital, as casinos were restricted.
Despite the challenges faced this year - including last winter's strikes, the arrival of several competitors and the closure of establishments for three months due to Covid-19 - Circus Club Paris has exceeded all expectations in terms of both attendance and turnover.
Just a few weeks after its reopening in June, the Club launched a poster campaign in the streets of Paris in September. In addition, 80 of the Club's most loyal players were invited to the party in honour of the Club's first anniversary, which was organised in small groups in order to respect the security measures linked to Covid.
Sébastien Leclercq, Country Manager France, Circus Casino, said:
We are delighted with the results of Circus Club Paris over the last 12 months, despite the challenges encountered. With 5 land-based casinos, there is no doubt about the rapid growth of the brand in France.
We have ambitious plans to sustain this growth over the coming years. The launch of the Circusbet.fr platform will play a key role in this. Players will be able to enjoy Circus from home while relying on our omnichannel approach.
Sylvain Boniver, COO and co-founder of Gaming1, added:
Our teams in France are doing an incredible job. We at Gaming1 are all very proud that the Circus brand is growing so quickly and successfully in France.
Gaming1's stated goal is to continue the expansion in France. To this end, Gaming1 is building a land-based network with its Circus brand, on the one hand, and establishing a joint venture with JOA, which operates more than 30 casinos in France, on the other.
In total, Gaming1 operates 42 gaming rooms and casinos in Belgium, Switzerland and France. The group also manages a portfolio of 20 online operations in regulated markets around the world.
