The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board "PGCB" has conditionally licensed interactive game developers through its subsidiary NetEnt Americas LLC.
In October 2017, the Pennsylvania state legislature approved a bill allowing online casino gaming. NetEnt today announced that it has been granted a conditional license to deliver its award-winning online games to the newly regulated Pennsylvania market.
Pennsylvania is the second state in the US to regulate online casinos and, with nearly 13 million residents, it is the fifth largest state in terms of population. The state has a long tradition of on-ground betting. As previously mentioned, NetEnt has signed agreements with several gambling operators in the country and is preparing to launch its games as soon as the market opens. The PGCB has not yet announced an official market opening date.
"We are very pleased to be among the first group of approved providers to conduct online gaming in Pennsylvania. This fits well with our strategy of using our products on the first day the market opens," said Erik Nyman, general manager of NetEnt Americas LLC.
