Hugo the troll, along with Hugolina his wife and his two friends Fernando the toucan and Jean-Paul the chimpanzee (paying symbols of Hugo's Adventure™) are going on holiday to the island of the Pelee Mountains. It's a trip that was given to Hugo by someone who didn't know. In fact the tickets were in an envelope that had been placed in the mailbox.
Always willing to go on a trip, he jumped at the chance and left his children Rut, Rit and Rat with Hugolina's mum who was very happy to have her grandchildren with her. She was especially happy because her daughter needed a good holiday to be able to rest, so without thinking about who had sent the tickets our four friends left.
But soon they would realise that something was wrong! And yes, it was too good to be true. On arrival at the beautiful island our Hugolina went straight to the spa to relax and the boys went for a walk outside. Unable to stay put, the three friends plan to go for a walk without telling Hugolina, otherwise she wouldn't agree.
But when the toucan and the chimpanzee arrive in their room, they drink the fresh fruit juice that someone had prepared and fall asleep like babies. Hugo decides to go for a walk by himself. But his instincts warned him that something was wrong.
On his walk Hugo finds a bird and doesn't hesitate for a moment: he jumps in and starts it up. Here Hugo is doing loops but this joy is short-lived: his enemy Don Croco in another plane sends him mines to shoot him down! No but it's good! Croco explains to him when he gets closer that Hugo had fallen into the trap and that he would soon die.
Hugo throws him a coconut he found in the plane and Don Croco goes down in flames. Hugo goes back to the hotel and finds his Hugolina all relaxed. When he doesn't see his friends coming down for dinner, he goes to look for them in the room: they are still asleep and Hugo prefers not to wake them up.
Hugo's Adventure™ is a 5 reels, 3 rows, 10 fixed paylines video slot. The wild symbol represented by Hugo, will be able to substitute for all symbols except the scatter and bonus symbols. The scatter symbol which is represented by the plane will only be visible on reels 1, 3 and 5.
The bonus symbol represented by the submarine will only be visible on reels 2 and 4. The Air Ace feature will be triggered when 3 scatter symbols are visible, at which point we will be awarded an initial life. Additional lives will be given when Hugo hits a +1 balloon.
A life will be lost when an air mine hits Hugo. The feature will end when the number of lives equals 0. The maximum number of free spins is 20. If Hugo still has 1 life at the end of the feature, the Underwater Adventure bonus game will be triggered.
If Hugo has 2 lives, the bonus game starts with 1 additional life. During the free spins, Flying Wilds may appear on the reels. When they appear, Flying Wilds move one reel to the left at the beginning of each free spin until they disappear from the game area.
In addition, up to 4 extra balloons (x2 symbols) can appear at the end of each free spin in random locations. These symbols multiply the winnings up to a maximum of x16. The Underwater Adventure feature will be triggered when 2 bonus symbols are visible.
The submarine will spin, giving 1, 2 or 3 initial lives. One will have to choose treasures under the sea. Each treasure chosen will award a cash prize based on the total bet. Level 1 awards x2 or x4, level 2 awards x4 or x7 and level 3 awards x10 or x14. The maximum prize is x25 of the total stake. Some treasures are dangerous and reduce the number of lives to 1.
At the end, for each life remaining, the golden submarine will spin to reveal a total win multiplier of x2, x3 or x5. The multipliers are added together to give a total win multiplier of up to x20. The total win multiplier applies to all wins during the game.
