Yggdrasil, the world's leading publisher of online gaming content, has been granted a Greek supplier licence.

The licence, granted by the Hellenic Gaming Commission, allows Yggdrasil to launch its portfolio of premium games to Greek players under the country's recently revised online gaming regulations.

A wide selection of premium games, including titles featuring Yggdrasil's proprietary Game Engagement Mechanics (GEM) technology, is now available to operators in the Greek market. Titles from the supplier's highly successful YG Masters programme are also available, offering exclusive content from exciting third-party studios.

Yggdrasil has already partnered with a number of major Greek operators and further details of the agreements will be announced in the coming months.

The Greek licence is another important step in Yggdrasil's market regulation strategy and was made possible by the company's ISO/IEC27001 accreditation, which was obtained last year.

The Greek online gaming market is growing impressively and, with new operators entering the country, it offers Yggdrasil an excellent opportunity to expand its presence in Europe.

Björn Krantz, Head of Global Market Operations at Yggdrasil, said: "It goes without saying that Yggdrasil is once again putting its money where its mouth is and continuing with its market regulation strategy. Obtaining the Greek licence and building on our ISO/IEC27001 accreditation is another milestone and another success for the great team we have here at Yggdrasil. We would like to thank all the local partners for their support in making a difference with Yggdrasil and our portfolio of innovative, first-class games in Greece."
