Good news for Gaming1, which has just been elected Top Employer in Belgium thanks to its human resources practices. This is a first in the history of the group, which also becomes the first to receive this certification in the Belgian gaming market.

Every year, the Top Employers Institute rewards the best employers in the world by awarding them the Top Employer certification. Based on a complete analysis of all HR practices, this certification is a real asset for companies. First of all, to be able to evaluate and optimise their HR processes, but also to position themselves as a reference for talent.

This year, Gaming1 is one of the Top Employers 2022. This is a first for the group in Belgium, but also in the sector, as it is the first gambling company (casino, sports betting and poker) to receive this certification. Among some 80 certified companies in our country, only 15% of which are in Wallonia, Gaming1 has no reason to be ashamed of its results and has consolidated its position as a key player and employer in Wallonia.

In terms of results, 3 criteria have achieved more than 95%. First of all, our recruitment and onboarding processes. New employees are accompanied from their first day to be quickly immersed in the daily life of Gaming1. They are assigned a sponsor, an important point of contact to facilitate initial contacts with colleagues from other teams. During the Welcome Day, organised three or four times a year, they meet the founding members of Gaming1 to learn about the group's DNA: its mission, vision and values. This is also an opportunity to take them on a field trip to the gaming rooms to immerse them in the casino's world. The integration process continues for several months, with specific training related to the job, not forgetting two interviews with the HR team and the manager to ensure that everything is going well.

The second element that was highlighted was the working environment. The recent move of our teams to a brand new hub in the centre of the Guillemins district has been accompanied by a change in the way we work, with collaboration and flexibility as the watchwords. In these new spaces, human interaction is at the centre of everything. The aim is for the paths of each employee to cross in order to encourage sharing. Thanks to a multitude of spaces dedicated to different work modes, everyone can easily find their place on a daily basis, depending on their activities and objectives.

Finally, our values were applauded with a score of 100%. Fun, team spirit, boldness, performance and integrity are the foundations of Gaming1's corporate culture and a real benchmark for all its employees who live them every day. Various activities are organised throughout the year around these five values, such as blood donations in the building's courtyard, teambuilding days and the #loveyourhealth programme, which offers various sports activities to our employees.

Of course, it is always gratifying to see our efforts praised and our strengths highlighted. But Gaming1 does not intend to rest on its laurels and takes these results as an additional opportunity to take stock and target areas for improvement.

In a rapidly growing group such as Gaming1, which is constantly seeking to acquire new talent, this label is a significant asset and the company intends to continue its efforts to remain among the Top Employers in the coming years. The work is already underway, as the group plans to recruit 200 additional talents this year and in 2022.
