Standard de Liège and Circus are proud to announce today the renewal of their partnership for the 2021-2022 season. Indeed, Circus has decided to support Standard Liege by remaining shirt sponsor for the 4th consecutive season.

Subsidiary of the Belgian family group Gaming1, present in Belgium and internationally, Circus offers online and land-based casino and sports betting. Circus, visible on the back of the Standard Liege jersey since 2018, is a key player in Belgian sport. True to its desire to support black-yellow-red projects over the long term, Circus has naturally decided to extend its partnership with Standard Liege.

Emmanuel Mewissen, CEO of Circus :

Renewing our partnership with the Standard de Liège was an obvious choice for Circus, if only because we are proud of our roots in Liège. But the parallels between us do not stop there! Like Standard, we rely on our Belgian presence to develop our visibility on the international scene.

Beyond a simple sponsorship, this partnership gives rise to real synergies between the two institutions. Some partner matches sponsored by Circus have given rise to real shows with DJs, half-time entertainment, fireworks, etc. But these synergies also extend beyond the football field! Indeed, various joint initiatives have been successful on social networks, which are particularly important in the context of the pandemic. Since 2020, Circus is also the main partner of the Standard in eSport. Supported by Circus, Quentin "ShadooW" Vande Wattyne reached the semi-finals of a major international eSport tournament with 128 teams in April 2020.

Alexandre Grosjean, CEO of Standard de Liège:

Betting on Circus was the right choice for us. We are delighted to extend this dynamic partnership which has developed into a lasting relationship over the seasons. Our two entities are keen to highlight their local roots while developing a qualitative brand image at a national and even international level.

Based in Liège, Belgium, Circus is a subsidiary of Gaming1, which has been active in the entertainment sector for over 20 years and owns the Grand Casino de Namur and the Casino de Spa. Circus is also a Belgian casino and sports betting site active since August 2011 and approved by the Gaming Commission. It is supported by a land-based network of about thirty Circus Casino in Belgium. Fundamentally passionate about sports, Circus is committed to promoting leading Belgian sports and athletes in order to contribute to their national and international visibility.
