GamblersPick talks exclusively to Annamaria Anastasi, Marketing Director of Betsoft Gaming, one of the leading and most innovative software developers in our industry, to find out more about them, what we can expect during 2020 and how they are dealing with these unprecedented issues.
GP: Can you give us a bit of history on Betsoft and what you think has created your success to date?
AA: Betsoft is one of the most established companies in the industry and we are proud to have built a global reputation for high quality iGaming products over the last ten years. This has been achieved through unparalleled levels of service and high quality products. In addition to our large inventory of movie games, our product suite also includes a comprehensive casino management platform.
We believe that our key tactics, quality, speed to market, innovation and adaptation separate us from many of our competitors. We understand the needs of our operators and players and we always deliver. By continuing to obtain independent certifications in new jurisdictions, we anticipate our customers' needs and ensure that our product is available in the required markets. Constant adaptation and innovation are essential to keep the products as relevant as possible. As a result, we have gained a loyal and global customer base that clearly indicates that our strategy is working.
GP: Your portfolio is already impressive: what is planned for 2020 in terms of jurisdictions and new slots?
AA: Thank you! Betsoft is a forward-looking company, so we always have a busy schedule. Many new slots are either ready for release or still in production, but you will have to wait and see what great new games we have planned for the rest of the year. Our marketing and sales approach is global but, in particular, Latin America and Spain are markets where we have recently become more prominent.
In terms of future content, features and mechanics, we are listening to feedback from players and customers. In addition, we undertake extensive market research and analysis of industry trends. This allows us to mix content and keep ideas fresh. With the phasing out of Flash, we have ensured that all our games use HTML5 technology. New additions to our games portfolio will include a mix of volatilities as well as unique grid mechanisms to keep everyone entertained. We also plan to release sequels to some of our player favourites.
In addition, we have already released four new games to date: Super Sweets™, Total Overdrive™, Spring Tails™ and Monster Pop™ and with more to come, we are committed to ensuring our customers have a successful year.
GP: Your last slot release was Monster Pop™, but Spring Tails™ coincided with Chinese New Year and was a refreshing release for the whole industry. Can you tell us about the gameplay, dynamics and rewards?
AA: We launched the Eastern-themed Red Dragon™ series in October 2019 with Bamboo Rush™, Caishen's Arrival™ and Dragon & Phoenix™. Spring Tails™ is the fourth in the series. As 2020 is the year of the rat, it has been released to coincide with the Chinese New Year. In terms of dynamics, several lucky rat multiplier wilds can stack for a total of 60x multipliers, as well as free spins with all low value symbols removed. Add in a potential bet of 300364x and basically you have a lot of fun and a rewarding experience.
GP: We saw that you recently passed the necessary ISMS audits: what does this mean for you and your customers and why is it important?
AA: The ISMS audit is extremely important for all iGaming companies as it is the legal benchmark for the quality and probity of your products and business. Essentially, it focuses on a thorough monitoring of all internal controls to ensure that a company is substantially protecting the confidentiality, availability and integrity of its games against threats and vulnerabilities. This means that you have guaranteed confidence in the company and its products.
It also ensures that the relevant jurisdictions will allow Betsoft titles to be used by their locally licensed operators. Our games have recently been certified in Spain and Colombia - two extremely exciting new markets for us. Giving our Spanish and Colombian partners full access to our award-winning content will help them stand out in the market.
