Identity: Apparat Gaming is a B2B provider of RNG slots founded in August 2020 by Alina Dandörfer, Thomas Wendt and Martin Frindt, with a team in Berlin and a licensed company in Valletta, Apparat Gaming Services Ltd (C96693).
Licence: the Malta Gaming Authority granted it B2B licence MGA/B2B/874/2021 on 15 November 2021. Its status was "Licensed" when we checked on 24 September 2026.
Certifications: iTech Labs has certified the random number generator since 13 January 2021, and the latest report was issued by GLI Europe on 28 April 2026. Gaming Associates tests the games, ISO 27001 certification was announced on 13 July 2026, and 824 certification files were publicly available on 24 September 2026.
Markets: its games are live in Germany, Switzerland, Spain and, since July 2026, Georgia. As of 24 September 2026, no licence in Apparat's name appears in the British or Swedish registers.
Distribution: the studio has signed B2B deals with Pariplay (Ignite programme), Relax Gaming, EveryMatrix, SOFTSWISS, GiG, edict egaming and BetConstruct. Yolo Investments acquired a stake on 5 July 2022.
Catalogue: 76 RNG slots as of 24 September 2026, released between 25 April 2022 and 2 September 2026, all available in English.
Style: fruits and sevens (the Sevens family), Book slots (the seven-episode Jack Potter saga) and German nods such as Autobahn Alarm or October Bier Frenzy.
RTP: from 96.00% to 96.29% on the game sheets (median 96.11%), but every game also comes in versions that go down to 84%. The casino picks the version, and the game's help screen shows which one is active.
Diamond Treasures: a side bet that unlocks a multiplier reel worth up to 9,999x the stake, featured in 9 games as of 24 September 2026.
Demo: during our test on 24 September 2026, the "Play Demo" buttons on the official website did not launch any game. That is why this Kynox page has no GAMES filter.
CASINO button: it lists the licensed online casinos that offer Apparat Gaming. An empty filter means that no online casino offering this provider is currently available.
Your jurisdiction: Apparat's MGA licence is a supplier licence. It does not authorise any casino to accept players, and the law of your country of residence always applies.
Apparat Gaming online casino: a provider with a German accent and its regulated operators
Apparat Gaming is a B2B provider of online slots founded in August 2020 by veterans of the German gaming industry. On board: a team in Berlin and a licensed company in Valletta. Its Maltese licence number is MGA/B2B/874/2021 and, as of 24 September 2026, its official website lists 76 RNG slots, all available in English. In our inventory of online casino providers, few studios show their passport with such confidence. "iGaming with a German accent" has been the company's refrain since its very first blog post, published on 2 June 2022. Even the name sounds like something from a gaming hall: in German, Apparat means a device, a machine.
The CASINO button at the top of this Kynox page has one precise job. It displays every Apparat Gaming online casino, meaning the casinos that offer the studio's games and operate under a licence issued in their own jurisdiction. If the filter returns no results, no online casino offering this provider is available at that moment. There is no hidden list, no restricted access, and certainly no special link to request. The rest of this review gives you what you need to judge the studio on the evidence: its licence, its certificates, its markets, its catalogue, and the few creases you notice when you look at the table a little more closely.
Where can you play Apparat Gaming slots legally?
With an operator that holds a valid licence in the country where you play, and whose game library has received Apparat titles through an aggregator. The answer fits in one sentence. The nuance takes a few paragraphs. Apparat sells nothing to players. It supplies casinos, and they are the ones who open accounts, take deposits and pay out winnings. On its responsible gaming page, Apparat Gaming also states that it checks each operator's licence in its regulator's public register before activating its games, and throughout the partnership.
The CASINO button: what it shows and what it does not promise
For each casino displayed by the filter, take the time to check its regulator, its payment methods and its terms. One point deserves your attention: whether a studio appears in a lobby depends on the market. A German operator only offers the titles that the joint regulator of the German states has approved for it. A Swiss operator offers the games certified in Switzerland, and so on. Two casinos that "have Apparat" do not necessarily offer the same slots to their players.
Apparat Gaming also explains that the limits specific to each jurisdiction are enforced on the server side, out of reach of both the operator and the player. The maximum bet you see on screen therefore depends on your country as much as on the game itself.
Three important checks before your first bet
A casino on the list is not a blank cheque. Before you stake a single euro, three simple steps avoid most unpleasant surprises:
Licence: look up the operator's exact name in its regulator's public register. A licence has to be checked, never taken on trust.
RTP: open the game's help screen before you spin the reels. At Apparat, the same slot can run at around 96% theoretical return or much lower, down to 84% depending on the version the casino has chosen.
Budget: the Diamond Treasures option raises the cost of every spin. To stay in control, a prepaid card to cap your budget is a useful complement to the deposit limit that regulated operators offer in the player account.
Supplier licence and operator licence: two different things
Apparat's Maltese licence is a B2B supplier licence. It allows the studio to provide games to licensed operators. It does not allow anyone to accept bets from players. The rules for online casinos also vary widely from one country to another: some jurisdictions license online slots, others restrict them or do not allow them at all. The operators listed by the Kynox CASINO filter hold licences issued in their own jurisdictions. Before you play, check what the law of your country of residence allows. That law is the one that counts. The server's address and the lobby's language count for nothing.
A Maltese licence and certificates published game by game
On compliance, Apparat does something rare enough to deserve a mention. It is transparent enough to show its papers. Licence, random number generator certificates and lab reports sorted by market are all accessible from the footer of its website. You still need to know what these documents prove, and what they do not.
Licence MGA/B2B/874/2021
The licensed company is called Apparat Gaming Services Ltd. It is registered in Malta under number C96693, with its address at 35 Strait Street in Valletta, while its 2023 audit reports still listed an address at 52 St Christopher Street. According to its legal notice, the Malta Gaming Authority granted it a B2B critical gaming supply licence on 15 November 2021 for Type 1 gaming services, the category covering casino games played against the house. When we checked on 24 September 2026, the MGA verification service showed the status "Licensed" for the Casino vertical. The two registered directors are Alina Dandörfer and Thomas Wendt.
One archive detail deserves to come out of the drawer. Before earning its own licence, the studio launched its first two titles, Pharaoh Princess and Fruit Storm, back in 2021 under the Maltese licence of the aggregator United Remote. The partnership announcement published on 1 July 2022 says so plainly. Yet the official pages of these two games show April and May 2022 as release dates. The game library does not tell the whole story, which is a good reason to always cross-check sources.
A random number generator tested since 2021
Every Apparat slot relies on a random number generator. This is the famous RNG, a kind of digital card shoe that keeps shuffling without ever stopping. Its first certificates, signed by the iTech Labs laboratory, date from 13 January 2021. They cover Malta, the United Kingdom and the international GLI-19 standard. They were renewed on 13 February 2024, then on 3 February 2025. This latest RNG certificate from iTech Labs finds the draws unpredictable, non-repeating and uniformly distributed, after a battery of Marsaglia statistical tests.
The most recent document in the folder is an evaluation report dated 28 April 2026. It uses an iTech Labs template but was issued by GLI Europe B.V. in Haarlem for the Maltese online market, with a "Pass" verdict. The studio also says it has its games certified by a second laboratory, Gaming Associates, and we opened several of its reports.
ISO 27001: 93 controls and a carousel of rubber stamps
On 13 July 2026, Apparat announced its ISO 27001 certification, the international standard for information security management. The studio's announcement post mentions months of audits and "a whole lot of German seriousness". The accompanying visual claims 93 controls, which matches the number of measures in Annex A of the 2022 version of the standard.
The visual published by Apparat Gaming on 13 July 2026 to announce its ISO 27001 certification.
For players, the benefit is indirect but real. The standard governs how the company protects its own information and that of its partners. For an operator, it is one box already ticked at integration time. And for lovers of irony, this black and white carousel of rubber stamps beats any press release. It is hard to get more German than that, and that is exactly the point.
The certificate vault: 824 files in open access
The Certificates link in the footer opens a public document share organised into three folders: games, the random number generator and a directory reserved for Georgia. We went through it in full on 24 September 2026 and counted 75 game folders and 824 files. Every game report we opened is signed by Gaming Associates. It is a British laboratory accredited by UKAS under number 9263.

The Ignite folder deserves a careful read, though. On the Swiss report for 40 Sevens, dated 18 August 2022, the declared manufacturer and supplier is not Apparat but GMS Entertainment Limited, a Pariplay company based in Douglas, on the Isle of Man. In this channel, it is therefore the Ignite platform that presents the games to regulators, not the studio in its own name.
A lab report is not a licence
A report confirms that a game meets a market's technical standards. It does not grant the right to operate. So we searched two registers on 24 September 2026. The UK Gambling Commission register returns no result for "Apparat" among its 2,639 licence holders, and the Swedish Spelinspektionen register, with 2,230 entries, lists no entity under that name. In these two markets, distributing Apparat games therefore requires a B2B partner that holds its own licence. Nothing unusual for a studio of this size, but it is exactly the kind of nuance that a neat row of little flags makes disappear.
Four regulated markets under the magnifying glass: from Berlin to Tbilisi
Apparat Gaming keeps repeating that it targets regulated markets. Four of them tell its story quite well, with their slow pace, their rules and their small victories.
Germany: a one-year wait for the first approvals
Germany is the studio's home market, and probably the most demanding one. Since the 2021 treaty, games must get the green light from the GGL, the joint regulator of the German states, operator by operator, as the studio's successive announcements show. In a post published on 19 June 2023, Apparat explains that a full year went by between submitting its first batches of games and receiving the first approvals, snail emoji included. In March and then April 2024, two German operators got the green light for 15 titles, then 9. In November 2025, the studio said it was only missing a handful of licensed operators.
In this market, Apparat jostles with other German names, including Gamomat's Berlin catalogue, in lobbies where every slot has to be earned title by title. To check that a German casino is properly authorised, the GGL's official whitelist, updated on 7 September 2026, remains the only reference that matters.
Duration: at least five seconds per spin, on average.
Jackpot: no accumulating stakes or winnings to feed a future prize pot.
Autoplay: no spin can start without a new action from the player.
Simultaneous play: playing several virtual slots at the same time is not allowed.
These constraints shed light on the game library. None of the 76 game pages features a progressive jackpot, which fits the German ban. Yet the technical sheets list maximum bets of up to €200 on Joker's Wild Crown or 20 Sweet Candies & Fruits. These are catalogue ceilings, which each market, and then each operator, brings down to its own rules.
Switzerland and Spain: the Ignite gateway
To cross its borders, Apparat bet early on the distribution programmes of the big aggregators. On 16 June 2022, it joined Pariplay's Ignite programme, which offers partner studios a turnkey development framework and distribution in regulated markets. Switzerland followed in 2023, with three licensed casino houses adding its slots to their websites in June, August and November. Thomas Wendt summed up that choice with a phrase: "small but mighty".
Spain opened its doors in October 2023, with seven titles certified for the market, including 40 Sevens, Total Eclipse and Jack Potter & The Book of Dynasties. The certificate share even contains the approval resolution from the DGOJ, the Spanish regulator, concerning the operator partner behind that launch.
Georgia: five months from announcement to first operator
The latest front opened near the Black Sea. On 24 February 2026, Apparat announced its entry into the regulated Georgian market with ten games. The matching reports, stored in the Georgia folder of the certificate share, were issued by Gaming Associates for the Georgian Ministry of Finance, on 4 February 2026 for Total Eclipse XXL, then on 23 February for the other nine titles. On 17 July 2026, the studio announced its first go-live with a local operator backed by a leading European group.
Five months, on the home turf of a provider born in Georgia, for a studio that had waited a whole year in its own country. The comparison has a certain flavour, and it says a lot about the patience the German market demands.
Who is behind Apparat Gaming?
Three co-founders, an investment fund and a distribution network built at motorway speed. The studio sums up its early days with its own image: it has been "speeding down the autobahn of slot development since 2020", with a team of 15 people and more than 11 games in development in June 2022.
Three co-founders from the German gaming machine world
Alina Dandörfer signed the founding deed of the group's first company at the notary on 3 August 2020. The studio celebrates that date every summer as its birthday. The other two co-founders come from the same pool. Thomas Wendt ran online games at Bally Wulff until 2020. Martin Frindt, who officially joined the team on 14 July 2022 although he had been a founder from the start, had run its iGaming subsidiary there and overseen more than 40 online casino titles, after co-founding Crowdpark, a social gaming start-up.
The link was never broken. In November 2023, Apparat agreed to power the online offering of the company where two co-founders learned the trade. Thomas Wendt negotiated the deal himself. The house style flows from this lineage: fruits, red sevens, Egyptian books and clear grids. These are the codes of German gaming halls, taken up with an almost heritage-minded seriousness.
On 5 July 2022, the Guernsey-based venture capital fund Yolo Investments announced a stake in Apparat Gaming for an undisclosed sum. It was the studio's first funding round. The announcement places it alongside Green Jade Games, Turbo Games and Kalamba, another gem in the Yolo portfolio, in a fund that then claimed more than 55 holdings. Three weeks later, Hub88, a platform from the same group, integrated the studio's entire portfolio, which then consisted of four titles.
A distribution network woven in four years
A B2B studio only exists through its distribution channels. Apparat opened many of them, and fast: in summer 2022, it announced a new deal almost every week. Here are the main agreements with platforms and aggregators, dated according to the studio's blog.

Classic fruits and Book slots: the two pillars of the gaming hall
The heart of the catalogue beats to the rhythm of German gaming halls. On one side, fruits and sevens: the Sevens family has eight variants, from 40 Sevens to 1024 Sevens, joined by Fruits First, Finest Fruits or Ultimate Diamonds and its 3×3 grid with five lines. This register places Apparat among the studios that bet on fruit grids, with a loyalty that borders on devotion. On the other side, the books, with the seven-episode Jack Potter saga, from The Book of Dynasties to The Book of Football 2026. Almost all of them run on 5×3 grids with ten lines.
In between, the studio slips in its national nods: Autobahn Alarm, October Bier Frenzy, Garden Gnomes and its garden gnomes, or The Nibelung Legends series, drawn from Germanic mythology. Since 2025, it has also embraced a more modern turn and meets other designers of bonus-driven video slots on their own ground, with the Hold & Spin of Bullet 8 Train or the three stackable mechanics of Piggy Kings.
Diamond Treasures: the side bet aiming for 9,999x the stake
Diamond Treasures is the studio's recent signature. The principle is simple. A side bet, activated by the player, drops diamonds onto the reels, and they fill a treasure chest. Once full, the chest opens a special four-position reel loaded with multipliers, up to 9,999x the stake at the highest levels. The higher the side bet, the better the chances of landing the chest's biggest rewards, according to the 100 Sevens Diamond Treasures game page. Nine games feature it, eight of them released between December 2025 and September 2026.
Apparat Gaming believes in it wholeheartedly. According to its post of 7 January 2026, Ultimate Diamonds Diamond Treasures delivered the best launch of its 2025 year and the three best opening weeks in its history. One reservation is needed, though: a side bet is still a bet. It raises the cost of every spin, and that is exactly where a budget set in advance makes all the difference.
An RTP of 96% in the shop window and 84% as an option
The return to player shown at the top of each game page ranges from 96.00% to 96.29%, with a median of 96.11%. That is in line with current market standards. Scroll down to the "Additional Information" block, though: each page gives a range there, for example from 84.06% to 96.19% for 100 Sevens Diamond Treasures. The studio therefore supplies several versions of each game, and the operator chooses its own. Over time, the gap between 96% and 84% amounts to twelve points of theoretical return, which is no small detail.
The rest of the profile is unambiguous, with no fewer than 36 game pages rated 5 out of 5 for volatility, 49 games with a bonus buy and maximum exposures climbing to 27,500x the stake. To compare this profile with other providers listed in the slot section, keep in mind that Apparat leans clearly towards high-variance slots, where long losing streaks are part of the game.
Can you try Apparat Gaming games in demo mode?
Not from the official website, at least not at the moment. Thirty-five game pages display a "Play Demo" button, but during our test on 24 September 2026, the launcher opened with an empty balance and not a single play-money credit to start a spin. That is why this Kynox page does not offer a GAMES filter. We prefer to show nothing rather than a button that leads to a dead end. To get a feel for similar mechanics, between Hold & Spin, books and classic fruits, Kynox gathers reels from other studios you can spin for free, with no deposit and no risk to your bankroll.
Our verdict on Apparat Gaming: German seriousness with a few blind spots
Let us start with what commands respect. Few providers of this size publish more than 800 certification documents in open access, dated and sorted by game and by market. Add a Maltese licence you can verify in two clicks, a random number generator audited without interruption since 2021, ISO 27001 certification and an English version on every game page. The promise of seriousness clearly goes beyond the slogan. We also admit a soft spot for the house self-mockery. A studio that claims "absolutely no sense of humour" and titles one of its posts "Complete Lack of Humour" at least deserves credit for consistency, and we read it with a smile.
The flip side is just as clear. Apparat Gaming's collection relies heavily on variants: out of 76 game pages, nine carry the Diamond Treasures label, eight revolve around sevens and seven tell the adventures of Jack Potter. Some families overlap. The real breadth of the offer is therefore less spectacular than its counter suggests. The 84% RTP versions give the online casino room to manoeuvre that players only discover by opening the game's help screen. No licence in Apparat's name appears in the British or Swedish registers. On top of that, the demo buttons lead nowhere. A few game pages even contradict themselves, such as the "2/5 Medium High" volatility of 40 Sevens Santa or the double demo link on 1024 Sevens, which also points to Book of Olympus.
Then there is the future, and it raises real questions. Georgia opens a path outside the European Union, and the studio promises "more operators, more titles". Its official blog, however, has been silent since 29 July 2026. The three latest releases, 7 Supernova Fruits Diamond Treasures, Bullet 8 Train and 100 Sevens Diamond Treasures, never got their post. A simple summer lull or a change of pace? Will the Diamond Treasures formula go the distance, or will it wear thin from being repeated so often? We will keep tracking these signals, and this Apparat Gaming review with them. Until then, if old-school one-armed bandits played with notarial rigour speak to you, Apparat Gaming deserves a place on your radar. Just make sure you go through a regulated online casino and read the RTP before your first bet.

How do I find an online casino that offers Apparat Gaming?
Click the CASINO button at the top of this Kynox page. It displays the online casinos that offer Apparat Gaming games and operate under a licence in their own jurisdiction. If the filter returns no results, no online casino offering this provider is available at that moment. Then check the operator's licence in its regulator's register.
Does Apparat Gaming's licence make a casino legal?
No. Apparat Gaming's MGA licence is a B2B supplier licence: it allows the studio to supply games to operators, not to accept players. Each online casino needs its own licence, and online slot rules vary from country to country. The law of your country of residence always applies.
How many games does Apparat Gaming offer?
As of 24 September 2026, Apparat Gaming offers 76 games. They are all RNG slots, released between 25 April 2022 and 2 September 2026. A good share of the collection is made up of variants: 9 Diamond Treasures titles, 8 variants of the Sevens family and 7 episodes of the Jack Potter saga.

As of 24 September 2026, the displayed RTP of Apparat Gaming slots ranges from 96.00% to 96.29%, with a median of 96.11%. Each game also exists in several versions, with a minimum RTP between 84.00% and 87.23% depending on the title. The online casino decides which version to run. The game's help screen shows the active version.
Can I play Apparat Gaming games for free in demo mode?
No, not from the official website at the moment. During our test on 24 September 2026, the "Play Demo" buttons opened a launcher with an empty balance and no play-money credit to start a spin. This page therefore has no GAMES filter. To try similar mechanics, Kynox offers free demos of slots from other studios.
