Nüwa, or Nu Wa, is a being from Chinese mythology who is one of the three august ones and the five emperors. Her exact role cannot be specified: creator, mother, goddess, wife, sister, tribal leader or even empress, although she is most often presented as a woman who helps men to reproduce after a calamity.
In other traditions Nüwa and her husband Ling Tong, the first of the three august are known as the (fathers of the human race) as they are considered the ancestors of the human race. They are also depicted with a human body and a snake or dragon tail (as in the Nuwa™ game) as this is how the rivers of the world were carved and dried after the floods.
According to another myth, Nüwa is responsible for maintaining the celestial wall, the fall of which would destroy the world. Legend has it that there was a dispute between two of the most powerful gods. When Gonggong, the god of water, saw that he was losing, he hit Mount Buzhou, one of the pillars that supported the sky, with his head, and as a result produced enormous floods.
Nuwa™ cut off the legs of a giant turtle and used them to replace the destroyed pillar, while using stones of five colours (weak symbols of Nuwa™) to repair the sky. But in fact being unable to repair it is what according to tradition is the reason for the sun. The moon and stars move to the northwest and that the Chinese rivers flow to the east.
According to other versions, she filled the hole in the sky with her own body to stop the floods. Some minorities in southwest China have her as a goddess and other parties offer themselves as a tribute to their sacrifice.
Nuwa™ is also considered a creator. Existing since the beginning of the world and feeling lonely, she began to create animals. On the first day the rooster, the second the dog, the third the sheep, the fourth the pig, the fifth the cow, the sixth the horse and on the seventh she began to create men out of yellow clay.
At first she started to create them individually, but soon she decided to put a string in the clay and shaking it making drops fall to the ground she transformed them into human beings. These beings were ordinary people but the first handmade ones could be the nobles.
The wild represented by Nuwa, will be able to substitute all symbols except the scatter. The symbol will only appear on reels 1 and 3 in the main game. Any wild that appears in a winning combination expands and will be able to cover all positions on the reel before payouts are rewarded.
